Job Title: Accountant Grade II – UNGUJA – 4 Posts
Application Timeline: From: 05-05-2026 To: 19-05-2026

Responsibilities

1. Approving payment documents.
2. Preparing monthly income and expenditure reports.
3. Supervising assistant accountants in their daily duties.
4. Overseeing accounting activities within the unit or department.
5. Controlling expenditure and revenue.
6. Performing other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

1. Must be a Zanzibari aged not more than forty-six (46) years.
2. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financial Management or Business Administration (majoring in Accounting) or Accounting and Finance or Financial Management and Investment or Information Technology and Accounting or Banking and Finance from a recognized institution by the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar.
3. Applicants with CPA or IPSAS or equivalent qualifications will be given priority.
