Corporate Sales Manager

Properties: Arusha Serena Hotel & Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge
Location: Tanzania
Reporting To: Country Sales Manager

Role Overview

The Corporate Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing corporate sales strategies aimed at driving revenue growth, increasing market share, and strengthening the positioning of the properties across key segments including corporate, government, NGOs, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Leadership

  • Develop annual sales plans, budgets, and revenue forecasts
  • Identify and target key corporate accounts and business opportunities

2. Product & Service Promotion

  • Promote hotel accommodation and conference facilities
  • Develop tailored corporate packages for clients
  • Conduct property presentations and client engagements

3. Market Share Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Negotiate annual corporate rate agreements
  • Expand and diversify the client base across sectors

4. Revenue & Cost Management

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
  • Manage sales-related operational costs
  • Prepare regular performance and sales reports

5. People Management

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to the sales team
  • Monitor performance and ensure accountability
  • Drive productivity and team efficiency

6. Sustainability

  • Integrate sustainability practices into sales strategies
  • Promote responsible tourism experiences in client engagements

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hotel sales
  • Experience in 4–5 star hotel environment strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Tanzanian hospitality market is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel extensively
