The Executive Director of Songwe District Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for five (5) job vacancies at the Council after receiving approval from the Permanent Secretary, President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance, as detailed below:
DRIVER GRADE II – POSITIONS: 05
QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT
Candidates must possess a Form Four (Ordinary Level) Certificate and a Class E or C Driving License. Applicants must have at least one (1) year of driving experience without causing an accident, along with valid training certificates that qualify them for the respective license classes.
Applicants must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA or any other government-recognized institution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety;
ii. Transporting staff to various locations for official duties;
iii. Performing minor vehicle maintenance;
iv. Collecting and distributing various documents;
v. Recording and maintaining all trip details in the vehicle logbook;
vi. Cleaning the vehicle; and
vii. Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
