Position: Accountants (5 Positions)
SHAMO Industries
Location: Dar es Salaam
Salary Range: 600,000 – 800,000
Application Type: Female Applicants Only
Purpose of the Position
To support the Finance Department, Head of Accounts, and Management by performing routine accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and examine payroll, financial statements, and reports for accuracy and compliance
- Register new employees for NSSF benefits and prepare monthly statutory returns (TRA, NSSF, WCF, etc.)
- Maintain accurate financial records and track creditors and debtors
- Calculate and review provisional tax; assist in audits and maintain finance files
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making
- Develop and monitor budgets, including variance analysis reports
- Analyze chargeable and non-chargeable time monthly
- Update accounts receivable and payable and perform aging analysis
- Compute taxes, prepare and submit tax returns in compliance with statutory requirements
- Process payments and ensure timely submission of all statutory obligations
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in finance and taxation
- Not more than 45 years of age
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong IT knowledge will be an added advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
