EXAMINATIONS OFFICER II VACANCIES – NECTA
The National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the following positions:
1. EXAMINATIONS OFFICER II (PERFORMING ARTS SUBJECT) – 1 Post
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise marking of candidates’ examination scripts
- Compile lists of examiners for various examinations
- Supervise setting of test items and marking schemes
- Supervise moderation of test items and marking schemes
- Typeset and proofread examination papers and marking schemes
- Conduct post-examination analysis and provide feedback to stakeholders
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Education or Bachelor of Arts with Education majoring in Performing Arts
OR - Bachelor Degree in Performing Arts plus Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
Salary Scale: NECTASS 5
2. EXAMINATIONS OFFICER II (HOME ECONOMICS SUBJECT) – 2 Posts
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise marking of candidates’ examination scripts
- Compile lists of examiners
- Supervise setting and moderation of test items and marking schemes
- Typeset and proofread examination materials
- Conduct post-exam analysis and provide feedback
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Education or Bachelor of Science with Education majoring in Home Economics
OR - Bachelor Degree in Home Economics plus PGDE
Salary Scale: NECTASS 5
3. EXAMINATIONS OFFICER II (FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES AND SALES SUBJECT) – 1 Post
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise marking of examination scripts
- Compile examiners list
- Supervise setting and moderation of test items
- Typeset and proofread examination papers
- Conduct post-exam analysis
- Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Education or Bachelor of Science with Education majoring in Food and Beverage Services and Sales
OR - Bachelor Degree in Food and Beverage Services and Sales plus PGDE
Salary Scale: NECTA SS 5
4. EXAMINATIONS OFFICER II (FINE ARTS SUBJECT) – 1 Post
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise setting and moderation of examination items
- Supervise marking of examinations
- Typeset examination papers and marking schemes
- Review examination formats
- Prepare examination reports
- Analyze national examination data and recommend improvements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Education majoring in Fine Arts or equivalent qualification
- Must have strong writing, analytical, and computer skills
Salary Scale: NECTA SS 5
5. EXAMINATIONS OFFICER II (MUSIC PERFORMANCE SUBJECT) – 1 Post
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise marking of examination scripts
- Compile examiners list
- Supervise setting and moderation of test items
- Typeset and proofread examination papers
- Conduct post-exam analysis
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Education or Bachelor of Arts with Education majoring in Music Performance
OR - Bachelor Degree in Music Performance plus PGDE
Salary Scale: NECTASS 5
