Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
i. Examining patients referred to the assigned work area;
ii. Maintaining Radiology equipment and facilities within the assigned work area;
iii. Checking X-Ray images produced to ensure they meet the required diagnostic quality;
iv. Keeping patients’ images until the results are delivered to the referring doctors;
v. Supervising staff under his/her responsibility;
vi. Providing advice on Radiology and Radiation-related matters within the assigned work area;
vii. Preparing medical/diagnostic equipment and supervising equipment sterilization within the assigned work area;
viii. Providing orientation training to staff assigned to work in the area;
ix. Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor that are related to the candidate’s education, experience, and skills.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Diploma in Radiology Technology from a recognized Government institution and must be registered with the Tanzania Radiology and Imaging Professionals Council/Board.

- All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and must not be above 45 years of age. However, for positions under Military Institutions:
- Applicants for non-degree positions must not exceed 25 years of age.
- Applicants for degree positions must not exceed 30 years of age.

- Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates are verified and approved by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET). Applicants for cadres requiring GPA who studied outside Tanzania must attach a GPA conversion certificate from TCU.
- Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have approval from the Chief Secretary.
- Submission of false information or forged qualifications will lead to legal action.
