BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER II – 1 POST
1. Job Summary
The Business Administrative Officer II will be responsible for providing administrative, coordination, and clerical support to the MUHAS Business Development Unit (MBDU) to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.
The officer will support business development and investment activities through:
- Effective records management
- Coordination of meetings and assignments
- Logistical support
- Preparation and filing of documents
- Facilitation of internal and external communication
This role also involves ensuring timely follow-up on operational tasks in line with the Unit’s mandate.
2. Type of Employment
- Full-time contractual employment
- Duration: Two (2) years
3. Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to Analysts and the Business Development Coordinator (schedules, correspondence, records)
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, trainings, investor engagements, and official missions
- Maintain proper filing systems and documentation for business, investment, and contractual records
- Support preparation of reports, presentations, proposals, and briefing notes
- Manage office supplies, assets, requisitions, and general administrative needs
- Act as a focal point for internal and external communication, ensuring smooth information flow
- Track action points, deadlines, and deliverables from meetings and assignments
- Perform any other related duties to support MBDU operations
4. Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:
- Business Administration
- Economics
- Development Planning
- Development Finance
- Investment Planning
- Must be from a recognized institution
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience
PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER II – 1 POST
1. Job Summary
The Public Relations Officer II will support communication, publicity, and stakeholder engagement initiatives of the MUHAS Business Development Unit (MBDU).
The role aims to:
- Enhance institutional visibility
- Promote business and investment activities
- Strengthen MUHAS’ corporate image
This position plays a key role in positioning MUHAS as a strategic academic, research, and investment partner through effective media relations, branding, digital communication, and public engagement.
2. Duties and Responsibilities
The Public Relations Officer will:
- Support promotion and visibility of MUHAS business development initiatives and investment projects
- Assist in organizing exhibitions, investor forums, conferences, seminars, and official events
- Coordinate media relations, press releases, and publicity materials
- Manage digital platforms and social media channels for visibility and engagement
- Assist in producing communication materials (brochures, newsletters, reports, multimedia content)
- Coordinate photographic and audiovisual coverage of events and activities
- Facilitate communication with stakeholders including government, private sector, and development partners
- Support branding and ensure consistency of corporate identity across all outputs
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Head of MBDU
3. Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:
- Journalism
- Mass Communication
- Public Relations
- Business Communication
- Must be from a recognized institution
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience
