Tandabui Polytechnic Institute (TPI) is a registered and fully accredited Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution under the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET), Registration Number REG/HAS/117.

In line with its ongoing academic and institutional operations, Tandabui Polytechnic Institute invites applications from qualified, competent, and motivated individuals to apply for the following Tutor positions:

1. Tutor – Pharmaceutical Sciences (5 Positions)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop and deliver lectures and laboratory sessions in pharmaceutical sciences.
  2. Design and update curriculum to reflect current industry standards and advancements.
  3. Assess and evaluate students’ performance through examinations, assignments, and practical assessments.
  4. Provide academic and career guidance to pharmacy students.
  5. Engage in scholarly activities and research to contribute to the field of pharmacy.
  6. Stay updated on new developments in pharmacy practice and education.
  7. Collaborate with other faculty members on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
  8. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
  9. Supervise students during internships and practical training sessions.
  10. Serve on academic committees and contribute actively to the academic community.

TUTOR – CLINICAL MEDICINE (5 Positions)

a) Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop and deliver lectures and laboratory sessions in Clinical Medicine.
  2. Design and update curriculum to reflect current industry standards and advancements.
  3. Assess and evaluate students’ performance through examinations, assignments, and practical assessments.
  4. Provide academic and career guidance to Clinical Medicine students.
  5. Engage in scholarly activities and research to contribute to the field of clinical practice.
  6. Stay updated on new developments in clinical practice and education.
  7. Collaborate with other faculty members on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
  8. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
  9. Supervise students during internships and practical training sessions.
  10. Serve on academic committees and contribute to the academic community.

b) Qualifications & Skills Required

  1. A Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine or higher qualification.
  2. Valid and active practicing license.
  3. Previous teaching experience in a higher education setting (at least Diploma level).
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to engage and motivate students.
  6. Strong computer literacy.

TUTOR – CLINICAL DENTISTRY (5 Positions)

a) Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, plan, and organize materials for lectures, tutorials, and practical training sessions in line with current industry standards and advancements.
  2. Conduct practical training, demonstrations, and clinical sessions according to the approved timetable.
  3. Assess and evaluate students’ performance through examinations, assignments, and practical assessments.
  4. Provide academic and career guidance to Clinical Dentistry students.
  5. Supervise students during internships and practical training sessions.

b) Qualifications & Skills Required

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry (BDS or equivalent).
  2. Registration with the relevant professional body and possession of a valid, active practicing license.
  3. Previous experience in teaching in higher education and supervising students in a clinical setting.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to engage and motivate students.
  6. Strong computer literacy.

TUTOR – DIAGNOSTIC RADIOGRAPHY (5 Positions)

a) Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, plan, and organize materials for lectures, tutorials, and practical training sessions in line with current industry standards and advancements.
  2. Conduct practical training, demonstrations, and clinical sessions according to the approved timetable.
  3. Assess and evaluate students’ performance through examinations, assignments, and practical assessments.
  4. Provide academic and career guidance to Diagnostic Radiography students.
  5. Supervise students during internships and practical training sessions.

b) Qualifications & Skills Required

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Radiography.
  2. Registration with the relevant professional body and possession of a valid, active practicing license.
  3. Previous experience teaching in higher education and supervising students in a clinical setting.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to engage and motivate students.
  6. Strong computer literacy.

TUTOR – PHYSIOTHERAPY (5 Positions)

a) Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, plan, and organize materials for lectures, tutorials, and practical training sessions in line with current industry standards and advancements.
  2. Conduct practical training, demonstrations, and clinical sessions according to the approved timetable.
  3. Assess and evaluate students’ performance through examinations, assignments, and practical assessments.
  4. Provide academic and career guidance to Physiotherapy students.
  5. Supervise students during internships and practical training sessions.

b) Qualifications & Skills Required

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy.
  2. Registration with the relevant professional body and possession of a valid, active practicing license.
  3. Previous experience teaching in higher education and supervising students in a clinical setting.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to engage and motivate students.
  6. Strong computer literacy.

TUTOR – COMMUNITY BASED REHABILITATION (5 Positions)

a) Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Plan, develop, and deliver training modules for Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) students on rehabilitation techniques, disability rights, and daily living skills.
  2. Regularly monitor field-level CBR students by providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality, safe, and effective interventions.
  3. Develop, translate, and adapt educational materials (e.g., manuals and guides) to suit local needs, cultures, and languages.
  4. Guide students in assessing the needs of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), developing individualized rehabilitation plans, and selecting appropriate assistive devices.
  5. Maintain detailed records of training programs, supervise field reports, and evaluate the progress of both trainees and beneficiaries.

b) Qualifications & Skills Required

  1. A degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, Rehabilitation Science, or a related social science field.
  2. Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in providing, managing, or teaching rehabilitation services, particularly in community settings.
  3. Strong pedagogical skills (training, coaching, mentoring), excellent communication skills in local languages, and proficiency in developing accessible learning materials.
  4. Comprehensive understanding of the CBR Matrix (Health, Education, Livelihood, Social, and Empowerment components).
  5. Strong computer literacy.

TUTOR – MEDIA TECHNOLOGY (5 Positions)

a) Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Deliver tailored, hands-on training on industry-standard software and hardware used in media production.
  2. Prepare lessons, tutorials, and workshops that cater to different learning styles and skill levels.
  3. Assist students in troubleshooting hardware and software issues during production or design work.
  4. Evaluate student projects, provide constructive feedback, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records of student achievement.
  5. Manage resources by organizing, maintaining, and securing media equipment and laboratory spaces.
  6. Stay current with trends, tools, and best practices in digital storytelling and multimedia production.
  7. Guide students toward meaningful projects that build confidence, creativity, and technical skills.

b) Qualifications & Skills Required

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Media, Film, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  2. Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and/or other multimedia production software.
  3. Proven experience in the creative media industry and/or prior experience as a tutor, trainer, or educator.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively with diverse learners.
