The Chief Executive Officer of Shinyanga District Council wishes to announce to all Tanzanians with the required qualifications and ability the availability of job vacancies for Records Assistant Grade II (4 posts) and Driver Grade II (10 posts) under permanent terms of employment. This follows approval to announce the vacancies granted by the Permanent Secretary, President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance, through letter Ref. No. FA. 97/288/01/A/25 dated 29 April, 2025.
Applications are therefore invited from Tanzanians with the following qualifications to fill the positions:
1. RECORDS ASSISTANT GRADE II (4 POSTS)
Qualifications: Applicant must hold a Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV) or Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (Form VI) and must have completed a Diploma or NTA level 6 in Records Management from institutions recognized by the Government, with computer literacy.
Salary Scale: As per Government salary scales, permanent terms of service (TGS C).
2. DRIVER GRADE II (10 POSTS)
Qualifications: Must possess a Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV) and a valid Class E or C driving license, with not less than one (1) year of driving experience without causing accidents, together with training certificates that qualified them for the respective classes. Applicants must have attended Basic Driving Course offered by VETA or any other institution recognized by the Government.
Salary Scale: As per Government salary scales, permanent terms of service (TGS B+ 638).
General Conditions for Job Applicants in Tanzania

4. Applicants Who Studied Secondary Education Abroad
If you completed secondary education outside Tanzania (Form IV or VI), you must submit verification from the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
5. Applicants Who Studied in Foreign Colleges/Universities
For those who completed higher education outside the country, you must submit verification from the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU). This ensures your academic qualifications are officially recognized in Tanzania.
