Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) is pleased to announce temporary employment opportunities for graduates in the field of Agriculture. SUA has announced a total of 50 positions, where 5 are for Agricultural Officers and 45 are for Assistant Agricultural Officers. 1. AGRICULTURAL OFFICER – 5 POSTS
Required Qualifications
A young graduate with a degree in Agriculture, possessing the following qualifications:
i. Be a loyal, honest, diligent Tanzanian with good interpersonal skills.
ii. Be at least 18 years old and not more than 40 years old.
iii. Hold a degree in General Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or Crop Production and Management from a recognized and government-accredited institution.
iv. Must not be employed or have been dismissed from public service.
v. Must have no criminal record.
vi. Be willing to work in various rural areas.
vii. Have the ability to work independently without supervision.
viii. Be willing to work on a temporary contract and be paid a monthly allowance as specified in the contract.
ix. Be willing to sign a performance-based contract for the duration of the specified season.
x. Work experience in avocado production is an added advantage.
2. ASSISTANT AGRICULTURAL OFFICER – 45 POSTS
Applicant Qualifications
A young graduate with a diploma in Agriculture, possessing the following qualifications:
i. Be a loyal, honest, diligent Tanzanian with good interpersonal skills.
ii. Be at least 18 years old and not more than 35 years old.
iii. Hold a diploma in General Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or Crop Production and Management from a recognized and government-accredited institution.
iv. Must not be employed or have been dismissed from public service.
v. Must have no criminal record.
vi. Be willing to work in various rural areas.
vii. Have the ability to work independently without supervision.
viii. Be willing to work on a temporary contract and be paid a monthly allowance as specified in the contract.
ix. Be willing to sign a performance-based contract for the duration of the specified season.
x. Work experience in avocado production is an added advantage.
