GENERAL CONDITIONS
- All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and must not exceed the age of 45 years. However, for positions within Military Institutions:
- Applicants for non-degree positions must not exceed 25 years of age.
- Applicants for degree positions must not exceed 30 years of age.
- Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should clearly indicate their disability in the recruitment system for information purposes to the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat.
- All applicants must attach a birth certificate certified by an Advocate/Lawyer.
- Applicants who are already employed in the Public Service SHOULD NOT apply and must adhere to the instructions outlined in Circular No. CAC45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.
- All applications must be accompanied by academic certificates, descriptions, and certified copies of the following documents:
- Birth certificate
- Certificates of completion of various training relevant to the position applied for, such as:
- Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates
- Professional certificates from respective boards
- Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statements of Results, and Form IV and Form VI Result Slips WILL NOT be accepted.
- Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates are verified and approved by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET). Applicants for positions requiring a GPA who studied outside Tanzania must attach a GPA equivalency certificate issued by TCU.
- Retired public servants are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
- Submission of false information or forged qualifications will result in legal action being taken against the applicant.
- The deadline for submitting job applications is 04 April 2026.
