General Application Conditions for Public Service Vacancies (2026)
If you are planning to apply for the latest government job vacancies in Tanzania, please ensure you meet and follow these strictly enforced general conditions.
1. Eligibility and Age Limits
- Nationality: All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania.
- General Age Limit: Applicants must not be older than 45 years.
- Paramilitary Institutions:
- Non-degree posts: Maximum age is 25 years.
- Degree posts: Maximum age is 30 years.
2. Required Documents (Certified Copies)
Applicants must attach certified copies of the following:
- Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates.
- Official Academic Transcripts (Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma).
- Professional Registration and Training Certificates from relevant regulatory bodies (where applicable).
- Birth Certificate (Mandatory).
- A recent Passport Size Photo must be uploaded to the Recruitment Portal.
3. Documents NOT Accepted
The following documents will lead to immediate disqualification:
- Form IV and Form VI results slips.
- Testimonials.
- Partial transcripts.
4. Current & Former Public Servants
- Active Servants: Those currently employed in the Public Service are strictly not allowed to apply. They must adhere to Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November 2010.
- Retired Servants: Anyone who has retired from the Public Service for any reason is not eligible to apply.
5. Referees and Foreign Certificates
- Referees: Provide three (3) reputable referees with reliable contact information.
- Foreign Education: All foreign academic certificates MUST be recognized by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, or NACTVET).
- GPA Calculation: Applicants for posts requiring a specific GPA must attach a GPA calculation certificate from TCU.
6. Application Letter Details
A signed application letter can be written in either Swahili or English and must be addressed to:

7. Important Dates and Submission Portal
