The Executive Director of Maswa District Council announces to qualified Tanzanians the availability of fourteen (14) job vacancies in this Council after obtaining approval from the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance. The vacancies are as follows:
1.0 DRIVER GRADE II (10 POSTS)
1.1 DUTIES
i. Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety.
ii. Transport staff to various locations for official duties.
iii. Perform minor vehicle maintenance.
iv. Collect and distribute various documents.
v. Record and maintain all trip information in the logbook.
vi. Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must have a Form Four education certificate and a valid Class C or E driving license with at least one year of accident-free driving experience, along with a certificate qualifying for the respective driving class. Must have attended a Basic Driving Course from VETA or any other government-recognized institution.

1.2 OFFICE ASSISTANT (TYPIST) GRADE II (04 POSTS)
1.2.1 DUTIES
i. Type letters, reports, and various documents.
ii. Receive visitors, listen to their concerns, and direct them to appropriate offices.
iii. Receive, distribute, collect, maintain, and return files to relevant sections.
iv. Retrieve and provide files, documents, or any required items to supervisors.
v. Perform any other duties assigned by the employer or supervisor.
1.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be Form Four or Form Six graduates with an NTA Level 6 certificate or have completed secretarial training and passed stage three examinations. They must have Kiswahili and English shorthand typing speed of 120 words per minute and have computer training from a government-recognized institution in programs such as Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet, Email, and Publisher, with a certificate.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.

Applications must include certified copies of academic and professional certificates verified by a lawyer, including Form Four and Form Six certificates (where applicable), and certificates of various trainings as per job requirements: Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates, Form IV and VI results certificates, Computer Certificate, Professional Certificates from respective boards.
vi. Testimonials, provisional results, statements of results, and Form IV and Form VI result slips will not be accepted.
vii. Applicants who studied outside the country must ensure their certificates are verified by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, NACTE).
viii. Retired public servants are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
ix. Applicants already employed in entry-level positions in the public service should not apply and must adhere to the guidelines in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.
x. Submission of false information or qualifications will result in legal action.
xi. Only applicants who meet the required qualifications will be called for an interview.
