Antenatal care (ANC) offers crucial opportunities for enhancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) among pregnant women, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Despite efforts, SSA women encounter persistent barriers to accessing comprehensive SRHR services, exacerbated by climate change (CC) impacts such as extreme weather events and rising sea levels. In urban Tanzania, where ANC coverage is high, there’s a need for tailored ANC services sensitive to CC and urbanization challenges. This project, dubbed the CC-ANC Project, aims to develop and implement context-specific ANC guidelines in Dar es Salaam. It involves four stages: situation analysis and assessment, co-creation of guidelines, implementation, and evaluation. Lessons learned will inform future interventions for improved CC-responsive ANC in urban settings
