Government of Tanzania Announcement on Teachers’ Employment
The Government of Tanzania, through the Prime Minister, has announced that after the completion of the interview process on 23 December, teachers who pass the interviews will be assigned to duty stations before 10 January 2026. This is in fulfillment of His Excellency the President’s promise to employ 7,000 Science and Mathematics teachers.
How to Download the Placement Letter
To download your placement (appointment) letter after being assigned a duty station, follow these steps:
- Visit the website: portal.ajira.go.tz
- Log in to your account.
- Go to the “My Application” section.
- You will see a green message stating:
“Your placement letter is ready for download.” - Click “DOWNLOAD PLACEMENT LETTER” to obtain the PDF file.
After downloading:
- Print the letter.
- Read the instructions carefully.
- Prepare to travel and report to your assigned duty station.
Alternative Option
You can also download PDF lists of selected Grade IIIA teachers (Walimu Daraja IIIA) from ajira.go.tz.
However, these PDFs are released in phases, not all at once. Therefore, it is important to regularly check your Ajira Portal account for updates.
