The Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) has entered into a cooperation agreement with the institutions AMSHA, RUATI, TAMA, and MIBOS through the Youth Entrepreneurship for the Future of Food and Agriculture (YEFFA) Project. The project is funded by AGRA Tanzania and is being implemented through VETA colleges in Kihonda, Manyara, Mpanda, and Arusha (Oljoro). The training is expected to be conducted in four phases, with the first phase starting on January 19, 2026.

The project will benefit a total of 5,631 Tanzanian youths from the regions of Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Tanga, Lindi, Morogoro, Pwani, Ruvuma, Njombe, Iringa, Manyara, Singida, Dodoma, Tabora, Katavi, Kigoma, Rukwa, Mbeya, Songwe, and Kagera.

VETA invites applications to join vocational skills training through the YEFFA project. The training will be offered as a Day Programme only.

2. PROGRAMMES TO BE OFFERED

i. Agro-Mechanics – Training duration: four weeks
ii. Irrigation Technology – Training duration: two weeks
iii. Post-Harvest Technology – Training duration: two weeks

3. ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

An applicant must meet the following qualifications: i. Be a Tanzanian youth aged between 15 and 35 years.
ii. Be able to read and write, with primary education or above.

4. APPLICATION PROCEDURE

i. Applications will be made online through the system available on the VETA website: www.veta.go.tz, or through hard copy application forms available at VETA colleges in Kihonda, Manyara, Mpanda, Moshi, Tanga, Lindi, Pwani, Songea, Iringa, Ludewa, Singida, Dodoma, Tabora, Kigoma, Rukwa, Mbeya, Kagera, and Arusha (Oljoro).
ii. Applicants must return the completed form attached with a birth certificate or a letter from the Street Government Chairperson, and any education certificates they possess.
iii. Forms should be submitted to the respective college or online through the application system.
iv. All application forms will be provided free of charge.

5. APPLICATION PERIOD

Application forms will be available starting from December 19, 2025, and the deadline for collecting and submitting forms is January 2, 2026.

6. FEES AND TRAINING COSTS

The cost of training fees only will be covered by the Project. Other costs such as transport, food, and accommodation for applicants coming from far areas where the training colleges are located will be covered by the parent/guardian or the respective student.
