The Director of Tunduma Town Council announces to all citizens who meet the qualifications specified in this advertisement to apply for a three (03) month contract job for the collection of internal council revenue.

REVENUE COLLECTOR (CLERK) – 100 POSITIONS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. ​To collect internal revenue for the Council using Electronic Revenue Collection Machines (POS).
  2. ​To ensure the collected money is deposited into the Council’s bank accounts on time.
  3. ​To ensure all revenue that is supposed to be collected by the Council is collected accurately.
  4. ​To maintain accounting records.
  5. ​To properly maintain the revenue collection machines (POS).
  6. ​To prepare and submit daily revenue reports to the Council.
  7. ​To perform other duties assigned by their supervisor.

NB: MONTHLY SALARY IS SHILLINGS 200,000 (TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND PER MONTH)

All government revenue is collected using Electronic Revenue Collection Machines (POS) which operate similarly to a smartphone. Furthermore, applicants who do not meet the qualifications mentioned above will not be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICANTS FOR THIS JOB

  1. ​Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
  2. ​Must have completed Form Four / Certificate or higher, and have knowledge of how to use a smartphone.
  3. ​Must not be a Government employee.
  4. ​Must be aged between 18 – 45 years.
  5. ​Must be honest and free from any criminal record.
  6. ​Applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (Detailed CV) with a reliable address and telephone number, as well as the names of two guarantors/referees (Public Servants) with their correct addresses and telephone numbers.
  7. ​Applications must be accompanied by copies of all academic certificates and the applicant’s birth certificate.
  8. ​Must have a National Identification Card / NIDA number.
  9. ​Must be ready to be assigned to any revenue collection station within Tunduma Town.
  10. ​Must be honest in collecting government revenue and ensure that government money is not lost.
  11. ​Must be ready to obey and follow instructions assigned without violating the Council’s minor laws.
