The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology, located in Arusha, is one of a network of African Institutions of Science and Technology found in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).These institutions, a proud legacy of Nelson Mandela, aim to train and develop the next generation of African scientists and engineers in order to significantly contribute to the continent’s development through the application of Science, Engineering and Technology, and Innovation (SETI).
NM-AIST is an accredited higher learning institution (HLI) by the Tanzania Commission for Universities. It is being developed into a world-class, research-intensive institution focused on postgraduate studies (Master’s and PhD) and research in SETI fields.
