Job Vacancy Announcement for Election Management – Kinondoni Constituency, Mzimuni Ward (2026)

For the purpose of conducting the by-election, and in accordance with Section 6(6) of the Presidential, Parliamentary and Councillors’ Elections Act, Chapter 343, read together with Regulation 10(1) of the Presidential, Parliamentary and Councillors’ Elections Regulations, 2025, the Election Director invites applications from qualified Tanzanian citizens for the following positions:

Polling Station Supervisors
Assistant Polling Station Supervisors
Voter Guide Clerks

A. Qualifications for Polling Station Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors

Applicants must:

Be a Tanzanian citizen
Be 18 years old or above
Not be a political party leader or cadre
Be honest, disciplined, and mentally sound
Have completed at least Form Four (secondary education)
Be able to read and write in either Kiswahili or English
Be able to read and understand polling station supervisor instructions
Preferably be a resident of the ward where they will work supervising voting and vote counting

B. Qualifications for Voter Guide Clerk

Applicants must:

Be a Tanzanian citizen
Be 18 years old or above
Be a resident of the ward where they will work
Preferably be a registered voter at the station where they will work
Be honest, disciplined, and mentally sound
Have at least Form Four education
Be able to read, write, and understand instructions for Voter Guide Clerks and Polling Station Guards
Not be a political party leader or cadre
Have good communication skills and customer service when assisting voters

C. Payment

Polling Station Supervisor

TZS 70,000 per day for 2 days (election days)
Food allowance: TZS 20,000 for 1 day
Transport allowance: TZS 20,000

Assistant Polling Station Supervisor

TZS 65,000 per day for 2 days
Food allowance: TZS 20,000 for 1 day
Transport allowance: TZS 20,000

Voter Guide Clerk

TZS 65,000 for 2 days
Food allowance: TZS 20,000 for 1 day
Transport allowance: TZS 20,000

Training Allowance

All staff will receive:

TZS 50,000 per training day
Transport allowance: TZS 20,000 per training day

Training duration:

Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors: 2 days
Voter Guide Clerks: 1 day

D. Application Requirements

Applicants must:

Clearly state the position they are applying for and the ward where they want to work
Be ready to work at any polling station assigned

Attach the following:

Copies of secondary education certificates and professional certificates (if any)
Curriculum Vitae (CV) showing residential address, reliable phone numbers, and names/phone numbers of two referees
Copy of NIDA identification
Two recent passport-size photographs
Introduction letter from local street/village executive officer where the applicant resides

Public servants must submit their application through their employer.
