Location: Mkundi Area, Morogoro Municipality
Reports to: SEGA Girls Secondary School Headmistress
SEGA is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and empowering bright Tanzanian girls especially from vulnerable backgrounds through academic excellence, leadership training, and entrepreneurial life skills.

VACANCY - SEGA GIRLS' SECONDARY SCHOOL
SEGA Girls' Secondary School provides high-quality education to 280 girls (Form I-IV), over 50% on full scholarships, aiming to foster academic excellence, confidence, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills.
POSITION: CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY TEACHER - 1 POST
Position Summary
Highly motivated, qualified and experienced Chemistry and Biology Teacher to deliver quality, participatory education and support SEGA's mission of raising confident, self-reliant young women.
JOB DESCRIPTION
R1: Lessons Preparation, Planning & Materials Development (30%)
* Prepare schemes of work and lesson plans per national curriculum.
* Deliver a student-centered and participatory teaching.
* Mark and grade students' in-class and homeworking.
* Use diverse materials: charts, objects, songs, IT, video, group work, etc.
R2: Teaching (40%)
* Grade all student classes punctually and professionally.
* Create a positive and conducive learning environment.
* Provide support for struggling students and advanced tasks for fast learners.
* Track students' academic progress.
R3: Student Support & Personal Development (10%)
* Be the designated advisor for students and conduct tutoring.
* Mentor students for post-SEGA career and education pathways.
* Be a role model for girls, and a champion of empowerment for vulnerable girls.
* Report student progress to the Headmistress.
R4: Extra Curricular Activities Coordination (20%)
* Support clubs: sports, debates, and competitions.
* Take the lead in developing extracurricular programs.
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree in Education (Chemistry & Biology).
* Minimum 3 years teaching experience.
* Teaching English and all levels is a necessity.
* Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
* Passion for teaching and mentorship.
* Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
* Willing to live and work in Morogoro.
* Experience with girls from vulnerable backgrounds is an added advantage.
