PRESIDENT SAMIA BEGINS WITH 5,000 HEALTH WORKER JOBS AND 7,000 EDUCATION JOBS - Maelezo ya Ajira 12000 Afya na Ualimu
The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has announced that in the first 12 days of her second term in office under the Sixth Phase Government, the Government has already released 5,000 new vacancies for health sector workers and 7,000 new vacancies in the education sector.
President Samia made these remarks today, 14 November 2025, while addressing the 13th Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania in Dodoma.
She stated that this move is part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to respond to citizens’ demands for improved health services, ensuring that people receive quality medical care closer to where they live.
NB:
Based on the available information and video clips, it appears that the job vacancies have already been announced. Although it is not yet clear whether these are part of the 41,000 positions previously mentioned, it is highly unlikely that additional large announcements will follow, since most teachers and health professionals have already submitted their applications. At this stage, it is mainly a matter of selection and placement.
