  • Record all cash collected in the books of account.
  • Reconcile actual cash collected with cash expected from pump attendants.
  • Report any discrepancies to the company account.
  • Ensure that all cash is intact banked on daily or on reasonable frequency and the situation may determine.
  • Make all petty cash payments and post the same to the books of accounts.
  • Assist accountant in preparation of books of account
  • Assist accountant in coordinating annual statutory audit

2 . Position: Accountant and operation manager

Full Time

Your responsibilities:

  • Maintain the impress account for the station.
  • Reconcile daily weekly and monthly deposits with attendants,
  • Keep ledger of company daily expenses,
  • Make a proper bank reconciliation on monthly bases,
  • Prepare fuel order on time to ensure that always the station is not out of product to sale,
  • Reconcile fuel purchase account to ensure that any prepayment is used in the succeeding lot.
  • Reconcile the accounts payable and receivable and ensure that the policy governing the same is adhered,
  • Prepare monthly payroll and pass necessary payroll journals,
  • Ensure compliance with country laws and regulations,
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts,
  • Prepare final accounts,
  • Coordinate annual audit exercise and response to audit queries.

Educational level and experience;

  • Bs degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 6 to 10 years of work experience.

Attributes/Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Your responsibilities:

  • He/she will supervise all pump attendants and cleaners.
  • He/ she will ensure that the station is well stocked with the fuel product as identified in the station list.
  • He is the custodian of fuel and other product for sale on the station.
  • He/ she will be present and receive fuel and other products in the station.
  • Once the fuel is received by him/her will be liable for any loss that occur in the underground tank.
  • He/ she will reconcile station sales with pump attendants and handle all collection to cashier.
  • He/she will be involved in staff discipline actions.

Educational level and experience;

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4 to 6 years of work experience in the industry.
