Job Vacancies at Lake Cement Limited 2026
Lake Cement Limited is a prominent industrial player in Tanzania, specializing in the production of high quality cement under the renowned Nyati Cement brand. Established in 2014, the company operates a state-of-the-art, fully integrated manufacturing plant located in the Kimbiji area of the Kigamboni district in Dar es Salaam. The facility is noted for its modernization and energy efficiency, featuring an installed production capacity of approximately 1,000,000 metric tonnes per annum. A distinguishing factor of the operation is its self-sufficiency; it utilizes its own 10MW thermal power plant and sources limestone from an adjacent mine, ensuring consistent production and quality control. The company’s product portfolio is designed to meet diverse construction needs, ranging from general-purpose residential builds to specialized infrastructure projects like bridges and high-rise buildings. Their offerings include various grades such as 32.5N, 42.5R, and 52.5N, the latter being a “first-of-its-kind” in Tanzania for high-strength requirements. Beyond the domestic market, Lake Cement has successfully expanded its footprint, exporting to neighboring countries including Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, thereby contributing significantly to East African regional development.
