RE: APPLICATION TO STOP 2% DEDUCTIONS FROM MY SALARY TO CWT AND TERMINATION OF MY MEMBERSHIP

I hereby request the termination of the 2% deductions that have been made from my salary and remitted to the Tanzania Teachers’ Union (CWT) as membership contributions.
Through this letter, I request to be officially recognized as no longer being a member of CWT. This decision has been made voluntarily after choosing to join a new workers’ union, the Union for Protecting and Defending Teachers’ Rights in Tanzania (CHAKUHAWATA).
My decision is based on Section 61(4) of Employment and Labour Relations Act No. 6 of 2004.
