Job Responsibilities for Credit Manager – Serene Microfinance Ltd
General Responsibility:
To oversee the microfinance lending process, ensuring a high-quality loan portfolio and timely loan repayments from customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Initiate, develop, improve, and review microfinance credit policies, operational procedures, and rules.
2. Oversee the lending process by evaluating the creditworthiness of potential clients and conducting periodic assessments of existing customers.
3. Monitor loan approvals and rejections, ensuring alignment with internal policies and microfinance regulatory guidelines.
4. Ensure all lending procedures comply with relevant microfinance laws and standards.
5. Track and maintain accurate records of all loan transactions (disbursed, repaid, overdue).
6. Optimize loan sales performance while monitoring repayments and minimizing non-performing loans (NPLs).
7. Carry out loan restructuring for bad debts after thorough assessment and negotiation with borrowers.
8. Provide innovative recommendations for technological improvements in loan management systems.
9. Prepare and submit credit reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis.
10. Monitor and review performance reports submitted by loan officers, recovery officers, risk officers, and marketing staff.
11. Supervise and ensure proper execution of duties assigned to credit department subordinates.
Educational Qualifications & Experience – Serene Microfinance Ltd Job Vacancy
Serene Microfinance Ltd is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time position. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
i. Must hold a University Degree or an equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
ii. Must have at least two (2) years of experience in a similar role.
